Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 169

My natural curiosity about what happens on Portobello Beach deserted me as I came across this police van full of officers - two of whom had got out to admire the view. There was no evidence of civil unrest in Joppa today - maybe they were having a break before going to some larger event in the centre of the city?

The police van is not the real subject of my blip, however, as it was the bouquet that caught my attention on one of the seaside benches. The plate behind the bouquet reads as follows :

"In memory of Janet Pratt, my Princess, loving wife and soul mate, who loves this place, forever in the heart of her husband Daren."

Now that is what I call a true Valentine's Day message.
