Farce? You couldn't make it up
Two weeks ago I used this service to renew a prescription and book my older persons flu jab for today. Almost every day thereafter I received an email reminder, until yesterday when I received this. I hadn't cancelled, so I rang the pharmacy to reinstate the booking. The response, "There must be some mistake, we don't do Saturday flu appointments and we don't do online bookings. Anyway, we're running out of stock and aren't taking any more bookings for two weeks".
Later this morningI enquired at Boots, they weren't taking bookings at all.
My cynical mind is wondering if perhaps paying customers are being prioritised.
If this is what happens with the routine winter flu jab, god help us when the covid vaccine becomes available.
