Shrove Wednesday

For those of us who don't "do god", Pancake Day is a bit of a pain as the date floats around each year and we never quite know when it's going to be.

I realized we'd missed it Tuesday when a friend facebooked she was "eating pancakes and watching the State of the Union Address on tv". Oops, I didn't know it was that either as I don't bother with politics and rarely watch tv.

So here we are, pancakes on Shrove Wednesday. "Batter late than never" as my friend Chris would say!
