Taking The Test
It was a beautifully crisp Autumn morning for our (not) the park run run this morning. Felt comfortable and managed a slightly quicker time than last week.
After a leisurely breakfast Tess & I headed down to Bridgwater as I had to have a Covid19 test. I've got to attend hospital on Tuesday for a bit of a "procedure" so it's routine now to make sure you're not carrying the virus.
It was all highly efficient, well-organised and quick- my test was all done within minutes of arriving . As you can see there were a few other people in the same situation. This centre seems to be purely for people who have to attend hospital for routine appointments rather than a general test centre.
Watched a bit of football on TV over lunch then we had a walk with Chris across the fields to make the most of the sunshine.
Caught the second half of Yeovil's last pre-season friendly which was streamed live on YouTube. With no fans allowed in grounds now until March it's not clear whether our season will start next Saturday as planned: clubs at our level depend on matchday crowds for the income to survive. Some form of Government financial support seems necessary and possibly a pay per view scheme to enable fans to see games and provide at least some income for clubs.
