Baking

A cold, rainy day, so what better to do than bake? After nearly a week, my sourdough starter still isn't in a condition where I'm prepared to bake with it, so I got the Paul Hollywood book out again and made cholla/challah. I'm not a fan of his persona on GBBO, but I have to say the recipes in this book are so reliable. His was much more neatly and tightly plaited, but it tasted good anyway.
