Way back when.

This is Kingstanding Circle. I am standing in the car park of Kingstanding Precinct (love that world).

My mom was bought up just up the road and my Nan still lived there until 2007.

I remember being very excited about driving up to this car park when I was a little girl. It felt like the top of the world. The stairs down terrified me as there were gaps between the stairs and I was always worried about slipping through.

To the left was a shop called Hewards where my Dad used to take us to buy a game for the Spectrum (a cassette game). It only recently closed down. Opposite is Blunts where I can remember buying school shoes and I now end up in there at least once a year buying for one of mine.

I don't often come here but there are layers of memories bound up in this place and again I don't think the view has changed that much over time.
