The Fallen

Went for a long walk on the hills today with friends D&L, down to the Obelisk and back.  Took an unfamiliar route there, through the woods, to avoid the increasing numbers of people on the well worn tracks.

A little tricky in parts given the dry conditions and slopes, but very quiet.

I took a few shots of these fallen trees, hoping to bring out the texture of the nearer one in particular.  Much fiddling later and I'm increasingly unsure and tempted to post yet another of the obelisk instead.
