Step back in time

Today has been FAB!

It started with a leisurely breakfast at the greasy spoon, before we went to support my team mates at work doing the Macmillan ‘cakeaway’. We raised £453 (so far), which is not bad at all for a bit of cake!

From there, we were Blackpool bound and considering they went into lockdown at midnight last night, it was PACKED! The queues for the ‘spoons and the arcades were horrendous.

Luckily for us, Mr A had booked us a trip on a Heritage tram trip. 2 hours on a vintage tram (from 1901) from Blackpool to Fleetwood and back; the best way to see the seaside and avoid the crowds, that’s for sure!
What was really nice was seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they saw the old tram; even the young ‘uns stopped to take photos.
The only downside was the numb bum from the wooden seats; not good when we had to get on the bike after to ride home!

The trams are running these tours for a little while longer, so deffo worth booking on for a little bit of history and good old fashioned sea air :-)
