This mural has appeared since I walked along beside the river near Inveresk last month. Previously it was an old gate covered with graffiti and it now represents the kingfisher which can sometimes be seen beside the Esk. I also noticed several posters with information, thoughts and things to look and listen for and craft ideas using natural materials and discovered that these were part of the Autumn Equinox Trail set up by the Musselburgh Forest Church. Although not a church in the conventional sense it seems to be a group of people who are appreciating the power of Nature with some of the posters having biblical references and the message on the extra is very relevant today.
