A’ Chioch
We had stayed in GlenBrittle but arranged to go and stay outside our friends B & M’s house on Saturday night. During lockdown when documenting our hill bagging we had identified a few extra tops from which I hadn’t seen the view. We have been up some earlier this summer and decided to go up Aonach air Chrith, the highest point on the Cluanie ridge, today. We decided to approach along the north ridge, an easy scramble according to a guidebook we have. It was clear at Glen Brittle, but there was some early morning mist on the east side of Skye; the extra shows some shots taken as we went through Skye. We parked by the Cluanie Inn and set off across boggy ground to the burn that flows north to the road, where I took the blip looking up to A’ Chioch at the start of the ridge. There was still a little mist that was burning off and the view was good. As the sun was shining and there was no wind we got hot as we climbed up, and the ridge was a little more exciting than we envisaged so we were happy to get to the summit. Another view obtained, we then went east and bagged the other 2 Munros.
Yesterday’s blip.
Best on black.
