Inflation, depression. Solution?

I´m only testing my new pocket camera, Sony DSC-T300.
So far I have blipped most of my photos with Canon 40D and 400D cameras.
I had for a while also Ganon G9, which is very good camera. So good, that when I met my daughter in Africa, I gave it to her, because she also loved it.
Now, if this new Sony is good, I don´t have to carry my SLRs to everywhere and all the time.
