Blackberries
I have chosen blackberries today for my blipfoto, as they are a wonderful seasonal fruit and full of nutrients.
From reading The People's Friend, I discovered these six good benefits from eating blackberries.
Blackberries are good for the gut because proportionally, they contain more fibre than you would find in an apple or an orange. The fibre can help lower cholesterol.
Slow sugar release, so good for slimmers, and relatively low in calories.
Good for bone strengthening, containing Vitamin K, and they are rich in manganese.
Blackberries provide brain support as they help you fight free radicals.
They are also good for immunity boosting as they contain vitamin C and Vitamin A.
A 150g portion is 62 calories and has valuable minerals including calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese and potassium.
I am going to add them to my breakfast now.
Have a good day and thanks for visiting my journal blip friends.
