Rory arrives!

After spending the morning buying some essentials (plus one discoball that I couldn’t resist) at the flea market feira da lada, Rory arrived!

As our Italian lady Cinzia gave us €100 goodbye present (crazy!) to go for dinner we splashed out and went to the number one restaurant in the secret Lisbon guidebook. Then we went to a great bar decorated with catholic memorabilia including a holy water bath. We made some friends! Including two girls from Munich who live at the surf beach! Finally the police shut all the bars down and the owners begrudgingly kicked us all out but it was already two hours past curfew (midnight here). An excellent start and much improved on the last two days. The boiler man is coming on Monday too!! Hot water here we come!
