Runner Beans

The wind has blown the runners over and broken a lot of the canes, it’s a pity as they were doing very well and we would probably had some for another couple of weeks.
This morning I went through them and picked all I could find tidied the canes and chopped them up with the mower. I then pulled up the cosmos as they are just about over and it filled our green bin.
Dug some of the late potatoes so we have lamb new potatoes and runners for Sunday lunch just about my favourite with chocolate pudding for sweet. This is the life.
Also been for a walk as far as the mill, not much this afternoon I think.
Not raining today but very overcast and still that cold strong wind.
