Ground orchid.

Coda and I went for a long walk this morning. I wanted to see if these flowers were in bloom... they seem to be taking a long time to open. 
They tend to grow on the footpaths or just off them, so are often trampled by dogs or humans. 
I look forward to seeing them in full bloom
Today has been relatively wind free, thank goodness, but still chilly. 
Sister M came for a braai(bbq) - as always it was good to see her.
