Dog Park

If your are looking for a dog friendly community, Montrose, CO is an option. Many businesses allow dogs inside and many restaurants allow dogs on the patio. The dog park is great too. It is over 4.5 acres with open spaces and trails through treed areas. We started our day here several in a row, so Miya had repeat friends. She has been afraid of most huskies as well as male dogs that are larger than her, but learned to be friends with many of them during the week.

My husband headed up the mountain through Ouray today to hunt elk on a path my feet will never walk. It is narrow with steep drop offs, at times no more than 30 inches wide. My fear of heights and desire to live a bit longer will keep me off. 
Miya and I hike around Montrose (very flat in town) and laid low for the day.
