In the spotlight

This is me out in the garden looking for hatching crane fly so that I can squish them, we are getting loads.  I know it is not very nice, but we think the demise of our grass was down to large numbers of leatherjackets (crane fly larva) eating the roots.  So we are trying various things to reduce their impact.  My part is to squish them before they can lay eggs.  I had a friend to help, can you see the little hedgehog just to the right of my touch light.  He/she seems to enjoy going around eating the dead bodies.  I imagine they are full protein.. but who knows.  He/she is out most nights helping clear up.

A housework day and a bit of shopping.  We watched a film in the evening.
