Sunny flowers

how very splendid it has been to have our eldest daughter to stay. We celebrated her birthday with some champagne and a roast dinner (which she really enjoyed as she lives with vegetarians so doesn't get much meat!)
We had a lovely walk.. thankfully that cold nip has left the air for now and the sun shone all day.  We came across this glorious, happy, smiley field full of sunflowers and poppies.  I think it is a food field for pheasants and any other birds that take the fancy to these seeds in the making.  They just make me smile :)
