A damn fine achievement

This is the fountain in front of the Dam at Bottoms Reservoir in Longdendale, Derbyshire. It is normally only seen when the water levels are high and the water in the valley is diverted around 4 of the 5 reservoirs.

The fountain is on the Hadfield and Padfield Heritage trail and the information board tells the story of the Engineer (John Fredrick Bateman) behind the work.
