Hedychium gardnerianum

This 'Ginger Lily' has a lovely fragrance, mainly in the evening. This particular plant hasn't produced a flower cluster for about two years. I gave a friend a pot of a well established rhizome and they were rewarded with 3 great flower spikes a month ago. It is named after a botanist named Gardener.
