A visit to Dunchurch

Today we drove to the lovely village of Dunchurch in Warwickshire,  an easy drive from S & C’s house and the blip shows one of the conservation area thatched houses. The extra is of the Guy Fawkes house where it is reputed that the gunpowder plotters waited to find out if their plan to blow up the Houses of Parliament had worked. 

For the last 40 years Mrs AMK has kept in regular contact with Irene who was a final year vet student who stayed with us during  Easter in 1980, when our son S was only a year old,  and today we saw her for the first time since then as Dunchurch is where she lives. 

With good social distancing we had a great catch up and hopefully on a future visit to Warwickshire we will meet up again in easier circumstances.
