V Day

Felt rather groggy and tender this morning but not too bad and I even managed some breakfast. After a shower Susie arrived to take me home.

I had a peek at the back of my throat in the mirror which was a bit of a mistake. Horrible doesn't even begin to describe it. The pain isn't too bad yet but it is a struggle to swallow. I'm told the real pain kicks in after day 3 so that's something to look forward to. I just need to make sure to drink and eat enough.

Not much of a Valentine's day. Although I did have the foresight to order a present and flowers to make up for my inability to cook dinner or go out.
