Take me for a Ride in your Car Car

So sang  Peter Paul and Mary back in 2012 and well before I was a twinkle in the eye of a screen cleaner manufacturer.
One of our minor (but sometimes powerful in a coalition deal) parties (The Greens) have just announced that the importation of internal combustion cars will be banned in 2030. The Boss is doubtful he will see that and I am sure that my stitching will fail long before.....and besides many car manufacturers have announced similar stuff earlier but a more interesting consideration would be the future place of cars in our cities. 
We got passed today while out staggering by an electric (sit on) scooter. Hmmmmmmmmmm..... it said as it passed. Beats the awful noisy petrol jobs that seem to have no silencer at all in the interests of.....
