Not quite a silhouette

After an eventful day I went to Western Springs Lake, where I saw a number of birds, and didn't quite get the photos right. Probably appropriate for a day when I found out that the colleague who was admitted to hospital last night may have a serious cardiovascular problem, and a patient lit two fires in the ICU (where they are not meant to have lighters). 

I've posted as an extra a slightly blurred photo of a tui. Probably because of hand movement as I grabbed a shot as soon as I had it framed as I wanted; I've missed too many photos by taking time to ensue my hand is still.
