What a Joke!
Angie had an appointment in central Munich today and sent back these photos:
Left: Karl Valentin (1882-1948), probably Munich's most loved son, comedian, cabaret & clown commonly called Germany's Charlie Chaplin who even had an influence on Samuel Beckett, dressed up with the obligatory facemask ...well at least if he had been entering a shop or public room. This statue is on the large outdoor Viktualien Market. There is a museum to him in a tower directly in the city centre with a quaint cafe on the top. I wonder what he would have had to say about modern politics!
The other shots are taken through the window of a renowned traditional Bavarian clothing shop offering matching facemasks to your Dirndl!
