The bridge to somewhere
That 'somewhere' being Inverness, Old Town. This is one of my favourite walks on a sunny day. Along the canal and down Fairfield Road to the Greig Street Bridge, avoiding school pupils on lunch break, whenever possible. I had some errands to do but I rewarded myself for my diligence, by visting one of the town's better bars. It got relatively busy and a stranger called Graham, asked me if I minded him sitting at the end of my table. For the next forty minutes or so we had a great blether. He is just discovering retirement, so I told him what a great idea it is, as long as you have a good pension. Extra of an impressive building.
