Hotel celebration!

My husband's birthday, so for the first time ever I bought a banana cream pie. I have always baked one, but no oven in our room. It was mediocre at best so I will bake one when we get home.

He hiked back out of the mountain today without having seen an elk. He declared the trip worth it, proved to himself that he could still accomplish what he did in his 20's now that he is 55. He did see many deer and sheep along with great scenery (which he appreciated much more now than when he was young).
