Govan Milestone

Sculpture [1994] by Helen Denerly. 
Located outside the entrance to the former Fairfields shipyard; at one time more than 5000 men would pass through the gates twice a day.
The claws structure is polished stainless steel; the birds (resembling cormorants) are made of welded bolts, chain-links and cables.
