Richard and Frieda

An afternoon visit to the playground in the Rivelin valley, a short drive from home. Frieda has a slight cold, so she was less energetic than usual today. But the park, in warm sunshine, worked well. The tiny wellies on her feet are her big favourites just now. There were a few other children in the playground, mostly with grandparents.

It feels like the lull before the combined Covid and Brexit storm. In the park cafe, we ended up sitting next to someone I used to work with in the local university academic department of public health. She's still there, coping with all the current confusion with grace, as she always did.
