Bee on Pomelo

Happy Valentines Day!

It is raining in Florida, with a high of about 60F. I may have to rethink my vow about only wearing shorts. I don't like to see the rain, but this area is extremely dry...so they really need it.

I decided to give the birds a break today, and instead go with flowers. Plus...with it being Valentines Day...flowers seemed appropriate.

With the weather...even the insects were very sedate. Evidently, this bee has never heard the expression...As busy as a bee. He was on this same pomelo tree plant...in this same position...for at least 20 minutes.

FLICKR PAGE. I really must take some time in the future to learn the identities of the flowers. It's just not enough to snap them because they're purty...YOU MUST KNOW NAMES...YOU MUST KNOW NAMES!!

On the way back...I stepped out of my cheapskate comfort zone, and bought my valentine some roses. The cashier asked me if I wanted them wrapped. I told her that my wife is going to be shocked enough that I got her flowers...so we better not wrap them. That just might put her over the edge.
