Hosta Satin

Dear Diary,

The hosta, like most of the garden, is spent but still beautiful to me.  I think the leaves look like old satin.  There is much to admire and photograph at this time of year even if the showy colors of summer are gone.  We are reaching the peak of foliage color.  Today, we are finally getting some heavy and sustained rain.  What a relief.  Not too happy with the high winds though but we were so desperate for the rain.
