Freezing Rain ...

For regions Zeeland, Brabant and South Holland in the Netherlands today the weather code was orange. Shortly after nine o'clock in the morning it started to snow. The snow quickly turned into ice. The result: slippery roads and many accidents.

Who hadn't go out was advised to stay indoors.

I tried to take a picture of the freezing rain on plants. The water from a shower that normally drips of petals, remained today as ice cones on the leaves.

It was a beautiful sight. In the picture one such a cone. It's a beauty in itself, a real gem of Mother Nature.
