LD 191 Water, water...

By early afternoon there had been over 50 mm of rain since the early hours.  The stream outside my window was noisily breaking its banks and when giving evidence to the Scottish Parliament's Finance and Constitution Committee by video I was surprised I could be heard over the hammering of the rain on the study roof.
