I was doing a little post-children/cyclone tidying following the school drop off this morning and found today’s entry written into m’boy’s bird watching notebook.

Stuff like this always melts my heart, particularly when he is copying facts from one book into another for nothing other than his own amusement. His love of nature and birds in particular is infectious, so much so that his birthday treat this year will be something nature-reserve related.

Judging by the weather forecast, it looks like we’ll probably be in for a biblical soaking of some description, but I’m sure this won’t be anything that a car picnic won’t be able to cure!
