Meadow

Almost time for the 'meadow' (patch of long grass in the lawn) to be cut down.

Time for a quick review: second year, and still not quite the feast of colour I hoped for ;-)

But we did get some yellow rattle this year, and some ragged robin, so progress was made.

And regardless, the long grass is good for all kinds of fauna, so we are doing our bit for the environment.

Plans for next year (thanks to a bit of advice from Monty Don) is to give the meadow a boost of colour to start with from bulbs. White daffs, blue alliums, white tulips and camassia have been purchased :-)
