Why can you not understand...

Took the girls over to Glasgow today to drop them with the grandparents for two nights.

On the way back to Queen Street Station, dropped in to GoMA for a while. Fiona Tan's Disorient impressed, but then I only tried to watch one of the two screens and was treated to a juxtaposition of an audio track of Marco Polo's Travels and modern (soundless) documentary footage of the areas he described. Then, an epiphany from David Shrigley. When he's good he's great, and this was so good I marched out of the gallery, across the road to the art shop and bought myself a sketchbook and pencil and tried to recreate the work on the train back.

Still working on it; with no girls around I can actually sit and draw of an evening.
