The Alpine House

A view of the interior of the alpine house at the botanical garden, Edinburgh. If you look out of the door at the far end you can just about see the new alpine house which is being constructed - its glass and metal structure and edgy design a big contrast with the wooden traditionally styled 'old alpine house'.

The alpine house is one of my favourite places in the garden. I love to see the delicate looking little plants - some like pin cushions - their flowers an array of cheerful colours.
