Safe landing
We arrived at a job in York and were presented with a street which had been closed by the Police. The problem was that it was a street, in York, with cars, shops, loose debris - and the job wasn't that urgent. We are always aware of third party risk now - and since the patient was safe and secure in the back of an ambulance, there was no point at putting the aircraft and immediate area at risk by landing on the main road.
So I took the safer option and landed outside a Mosque just two minutes up the road. I'm not quite sure how the Police felt about that, but safety is the top priority.
This is one of our paramedics doing a piece to camera as we wait for the ambulance to arrive.
There was a sign on the mosque wall requesting that visitors reverse parked - I am not quite sure I managed it!
