Keswick in the Rain

A lovely day, despite the weather.  It might best be described as the kind of weather that made the Lakes.

We started with a trip to Pooley Bridge, where the replacement bridge is due to open in the next month.  We met up with the delightful Deb and JohnGravett for a cup of coffee and a catch up.  It was lovely to see them both and to meet L for the first time.  John and I realised that we were but a few hundred yards away from each other yesterday morning as we took our respective blips.

Then a bit of retail therapy in Keswick. Despite it not being a market day the rain had kept many people of the fells so there was even some queueing to get into the more popular shops.  We had some soup in one of the local pubs and then headed back to Grasmere.

A short break in the weather allowed a short walk before dinner, but gave very little opportunity for any meaningful photography.
