Quiet coffee
I had a very long day leaving for work at 6.30 a.m. We are short staffed at present so no time for a lunch break having to eat on the run. I left work at 4.45 to attend our share market syndicate start of month meeting. There are 5 of us in the group. The syndicate was formed in 2008 as we were all teaching at St. Andrew's College. I really enjoy these meetings as I can also catch up with school news as the others are all still employed there. I eventually got home around 7.15 pm and we went up to the Takahe restaurant for a quiet coffee. This is a lovely building just 200 metres from our house and it provides a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Our horse, Ricky ( official name Franco Jorik) races tomorrow evening for $75,000. Normally I would already be so nervous but today I have felt really calm. I don't know if this is a good or bad omen. I really don't expect him to win or even make the top three. He is up against the best 3 year olds in the country. He has featured in previous Blips so I will most likely photograph him again tomorrow whatever the outcome.
