COMMON HAWKER

I thought I was going to miss the sunshine by having to wait in all morning for a delivery, but fortunately there was still a lot of sun about when I went over to RSPB Saltholme, and lots of dragonflies, though mostly darters. This one was having a lovely long rest so plenty of time to get some photos (also Extra).

Our Covid restrictions will be tightened up from Saturday, which I must say won't have a lot of effect on B and me since we're anti-social beings, but I'm wondering whether driving 5 miles to the Reserve to walk about on my own counts as unnecessary travel.
