Cunswick Scar

A very brisk walk on the wind swept Cunswick Scar in a break between planning/ cooking meals for the weekend, we when have visitors from Edinburgh.    An "elite" orienteering event is going ahead; outdoor sports are allowed in England and Scotland.   I need to make sure I have enough food for 3 hungry young men. 

If we lived in Scotland they would not be allowed to come into our house but could come into the garden because they are just one household (Son R and flatmates). The rules in England permit upto 6 to meet in our house, so that's good, we will be able to eat indoors and will not have to have an outdoor meal in the cold.  They are allowed to leave Scotland because they have a good reason. It's complicated but I think we will not be breaking any rules. 
Hot off the press. Cumbria today, 1 Oct recommends just two households meet in groups of less than 6. Thank goodness the 3 hungry young men are just one household.
