GRASS TREE

A busy day today culminating in a game of golf in the afternoon.
An overcast day and has turned very cold, as often happens in October, and snow is forecast on high ground for the very south of the State.

I popped my camera in my golf bag this afternoon to capture this shot of the flowering Grass Tree (Xanthorea) on the side of the 3rd tee box.
The flower spikes are quite tall, very elegant with these exquisite little flowers that just pop out.
