A lot of love

Rather amusingly, Miss E had taken it upon herself to locate ( in our bedside drawers) and move/hide the unwritten Valentine's cards we had chosen for each other. So this morning started with cuddles, not a card exchange. We had breakfast together.

The sky was blue and E headed off to the Botanics with her NBF Jen, giving me time to rest, have an uninterrupted phone call, peg out washing and have a wander to the shops- bliss.

After lunch, we finished the shopping required for tonight's Valentine's meal, walked our well-trodden and cobbled sleep inducing walk and I cooked while E napped. Aromatic pork belly- not immediately romantic sounding but very tasty.

I also continued Project Confetti ( a long standing rose petal drying project started for our wedding and continued for other brides since 2009). These petals are such a pretty colour and the peach intensifies to orange/red as they shrivel.
