Nerine

I love the Nerines which appear at this time of year to brighten up the border just when everything else is dying off. An old friend gave me these a few years ago and she has since died, so they have reminded me of her each time they have bloomed.
Friday night is treat night and I usually try to make a pudding with some fruit as a nod to healthy eating. However, for some reason I had a bit of a craving for chocolate cake today and I am very satisfied with the result (literally).
