Growing Gourds

I have often featured my wife's gourd projects and even where she gets the raw materials, but never any "on the vine". Today we were back at the Welburn Gourd Farm to pick up some supplies when we decided we needed a few photos in the field. It was extremely hot, over 100º F, but under the canopy of vines it felt relatively cool. It must be ideal growing conditions judging by the number of gourds I saw and photographed.
