Monarch Friday

Being Friday, it was off to Birgit’s back porch for lunch today.

I had fish ‘n chips and was amused when I opened the takeout container to find it had “newsprint” inside and it said “A jolly fine day for enjoying Fish & Chips” (see extras)

As we were sitting to eat, one of the Monarch’s emerged from its chrysalis and so as we ate and talked we were able to watch it as it dried its wings.

I got Kent to bring my Halloween down from the attic this evening but I’ve only put out the tea towels in the kitchen and hand towels in the bathroom. I’ll do the rest over the weekend.
