Throw!

Julie and I brought the three dogs for an evening walk in the Slieve Bloom Mountains, where they could swim in the juvenile Barrow river.  Ellie is demanding that a stick be thrown for her to fetch.  Shortly after this Julie twisted her ankle and fell, fortunately not down into the river.  She was able to hobble the remaining 1.5 km back to the car park; but it raises the question of safety, first aid etc. on such walks that we take so much for granted.
