Wet, wet, wet.

Storm Alex.
We seem to have got off lightly.
Although it is a very dull and miserable day we haven’t got the strong winds and only a steady light rain.
( hope I haven’t spoken too soon)

A day to spend in the kitchen. Making winter vegetable soup, baking gingerbread, and pickling onions and red cabbage.

Looking through the kitchen window I spotted the goldfinches back on the feeders. Nice to see them again, although the poor things look a bit bedraggled.
