On drawing

Here Lorna writes about her passion for drawing, and her idea of creating a series of pictures.

We have found in the archive of Lorna's work an almost complete set of illustrations for a novel that she wrote in 1938. These are accompanied by a self-penned critique of each picture.

Since Lorna did not add to her war diary at all in October 1940, we have decided to post online these pictures with her critical appraisals as a single sequence of blips over the course of the month. We'll also provide relevant details of the plot of the novel alongside each illustration.
